1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ecotrovyplatform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.

2. Description of Service

ecotrovy provides a peer-to-peer parcel delivery platform that connects senders with verified couriers. We act as a marketplace facilitator and are not a courier service ourselves. ecotrovy does not take possession of any parcels.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • One account per person; accounts are non-transferable
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Courier Requirements

To deliver parcels through ecotrovy, couriers must:

  • Complete identity verification (passport, ID card, or driver's licence)
  • Maintain a satisfactory rating on the platform
  • Handle parcels with reasonable care
  • Complete deliveries within agreed timeframes
  • Provide photographic proof of pickup and delivery

5. Sender Responsibilities

  • Accurately describe parcel contents, dimensions, and weight
  • Ensure parcels do not contain prohibited items (hazardous materials, illegal goods)
  • Declare appropriate parcel value for insurance purposes
  • Be available at the pickup location at the agreed time
  • Provide clear pickup and delivery instructions

6. Payments & Pricing

Delivery prices are calculated by our fair-rate engine and can be adjusted by senders (not below 40% of the suggested rate). Couriers may submit counter-offers. Payments are processed securely through our integrated payment system. ecotrovy charges a service fee on each transaction.

7. Insurance & Liability

Basic protection (up to £20) is included on all deliveries. Enhanced coverage is available at additional cost. Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery with photographic/video evidence. ecotrovy's total liability is limited to the declared parcel value or the applicable insurance coverage, whichever is lower.

8. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be sent through ecotrovy:

  • Illegal substances or items
  • Hazardous or flammable materials
  • Weapons or ammunition
  • Perishable goods (unless agreed with courier)
  • Live animals
  • Items exceeding platform size/weight limits

9. Intellectual Property

The ecotrovy name, logo, and all associated branding are trademarks ofecotrovy. Our software, APIs, and documentation are proprietary. Use of our API is subject to the API Terms of Use.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any behaviour that harms other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
