ecotrovy is an innovative peer-to-peer, eco-friendly parcel delivery platform designed to radically improve local and intercity deliveries by matching senders with trusted community members who are already travelling along the same route.

The Problem

Traditional courier services rely heavily on vans and fixed logistics networks — generating unnecessary CO₂ emissions, congestion, and costs. Every day, millions of people travel routes that overlap with parcel delivery needs, yet this capacity goes completely unused.

Our Solution

By matching senders with verified everyday travellers, we transform underutilised individual movement into a scalable micro-logistics network that is cheaper, cleaner, and community-centric. Deliveries piggyback on journeys already happening — reducing up to 84% CO₂ per parcel compared with van couriers.

Senders initiate delivery with pickup & drop-off locations, parcel dimensions, weight, delivery timeframe, photos, and declared value. The system calculates an eco-route and suggests a fair-rate price.

Our two-way discovery engine matches parcels with couriers based on natural mobility patterns — both outbound parcels heading in the courier's direction and inbound parcels arriving near their destination.

Eco-Matching Algorithm

The core engine analyses route direction, travel mode, proximity, parcel requirements, and estimated CO₂ impact in real time to find the most environmentally efficient courier.

Fair-Rate Pricing

Dynamic pricing based on distance, travel mode, and parcel weight. Senders can adjust price (not below 40% of fair rate) and couriers can submit counter-offers.

Basic protection included on all deliveries — up to £20 coverage for accidental damage or loss, with evidence-based claims using pickup/delivery photos.
